Here we go...

I have finally done it! Setting up the blog was easy, but posting procrastination, as I like to call it, is where my challenge really begins. The Ochoa family has been quite busy since 2009. Eddie and I will be celebrating our 2nd year of marriage on July 24th. I have just finished my 3rd year teaching 2nd grade at Heights Christian School in Brea, CA. Eddie has been working as a firefighter paramedic in San Bernardino for the past 3 years. He loves his job and always comes home with engaging stories. A little over a year ago we bought our first home in Orange. It has been quite an experience! Owning a home has been fun and has presented its challenges. Water mains bursting, painting, tearing up the floors, etc. have all been quite adventurous. We have learned to have a sense of humor about it and that has really worked. How can you not laugh when water is spraying a good 10 feet above your roof? We are now starting to feel settled and have been spending our summer entertaining and barbecuing for friends and family. It is probably a good thing to be done with major renovations because in no time at all we will be bringing home our little girl! That's right, any day now! I am 39 weeks 1 day and yes, I am counting days. I have had a wonderful pregnancy and I am feeling great. Now that summer is here and I am done teaching, our house has never been cleaner or more organized...I believe they call that nesting. Since when does someone find joy in cleaning a bathroom? Did I just write that? I sure hope Eddie isn't reading. Eddie and I are enjoying these last few days before the baby comes by beach cruising, swimming, going to the movies, eating out and sleeping in. These are the things we are told to "get out of our systems" at least for the meantime. Well, it's a bit hard to sum up two years but we are enjoying this stage of our life and are looking forward to what else the Lord has planned for us.
Proverbs 16:9 “A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.”
Eddie to the rescue. Those days working at Home Depot finally paid off.
